  1. Set out this morning with my young son and a 10 month old black lab bitch. Some may say I'm asking for trouble, but, we have a very small area drilled with barley early week,so a bit late but there were a few birds flying round yesterday. Set up a large hide, nets and a few fresh branches, settled the boy down with a bit of grub and my old hat and waited. Beautiful weather and we finished with a small bag of 13. But the dog fetched three and was very patient and my son got to learn a whole load of stuff about listening to his teachers and not day dreaming about being out with his dad whilst he should be doing maths. He could tell me how many more I needed to beat my PB but that was an easy number. They are both asleep now but what a cracking day we all had. I love trying to shoot pidgeons and coming home with dinner is a real bonus.
