  1. So how many of you have driven past somewhere regularly and thought, it looks nice up there? Must go for a walk some time. Some of the Northern lads will know the M65, I've driven it loads over the years, short little stretch of motorway which outside of peak traffic is really quiet with some great scenery. Opposite Blackburn sort of is Darwen and Darwen tower, well that's where we went, we did the short walk out of the park then up the hill, onto the moors, wow are the views good, 360° from the tower, the wind was amazing, move around the tower and it was nearly blowing us off the hill. I was surprised the tower was open, no doors, not sure if this is deliberate or vandalism but it means you can get higher still. Couldn't take pictures on all sides, I was worried I might loose my phone. @Walker570 few berries on this Bush. walking back down there were a very friendly shetland and horse with a couple of donkeys as well, what more could kids want. Couple of hours outside in some very fresh air and surprisingly saw a pair of red grouse on the way up, we would have probably missed them if they hadn't called, and now I now what's up there. Merry Christmas all.
