  1. I'm selling my Wood Stock Hatsan AT44-10 PCP .22 10 Shot Magazine Air Rifle with or without the whole setup, its a very accurate rifle - easily shoots the tiny reset button on the gallery target to pop up the ducks every time at 25+ yards. It also holds charge and can be left in the cupboard for 3-4 months and still be "full". Rifle - NON-FAC Hatsan Wooden Stock AT44-10 .22 cal PCP 10 Shot Magazine (with spare magazine) Scope - Edgar Brothers 3-9x40mm basic but more than adequate at air rifle distances (pictures with caps and covers removed) Bipod - Harris Style Moderator - Black works well no distinguising makers marks Air Bottle Gauge & Pipe - Bisley Black & White 300BAR stubby (12") Recently FILLED & in test date (AUG24) - these sell for £225+ new Slip - Black GAMO Carbine Style With Red Edging - seen in one picture Very nice condition, very clean, tactile wood, ideal starter PCP set up. Its quite compact so easy to manage even for a smaller person. I know Hatsan isnt everyone's cup of tea but I was surprised at how accurate this actually is, in fact I would happily keep it if our rescue dog didnt hide under the table every time it comes out! Rifle & Refill Probe Only - £250 Full Kit - £380 Additional 3 new original magazines unused £50 All open to offers but would prefer to sell as a bundle so will not be taking offers unless the rifle sells first Collection in person (Near Hitchin Hertfordshire) for the items that cant be posted (rifle/bottle) everything else +p&p I may be in Suffolk near Diss on 20 Mar if that helps
  2. Hi, I am looking for a small friendly rough shooting syndicate in and around the Hertford area. Large bags are not important to me as i am more interested in finding a friendly group of people who share a common interest. I can be available 7 days a week and happy to help out with any work or feeding that needs doing. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it. 👍 Kind regards Westley
  3. Hello all. I'm hoping to be able to find someone I can go decoying with. I'll start with a short'ish intro as I'm new here. My name is Adam, 33, married, I have a dog, no kids, I work in the a Dementia specialist care home. I love the country, dogs, camping, shooting, motorcycles, metal detecting, photography & my truck! I have been shooting for about a year, and would really like to get into Decoying! I have had the idea of starting decoying since just after I started shooting, but finding my own permissions have been challenging as I'm sure your all aware. I have been offered to tag along with a chap, but our work/free time schedules haven't lined up as yet, so I'm hoping to broaden my chances by reaching out here. Since this lockdown I have spent more time than I am willing to calculate watching the Fieldsports & Shooting Channel, watching the likes of Andy Crow, George Digweed, Geoff Garrod take on the pigeon population. Id like to give something back to my local(ish) farmers and help them with the pest problem, and crop protection. I live in Bedfordshire, and am happy to travel to surrounding counties and further if need be. If there is anyone willing to take on a very eager, very helpful, punctual, trustworthy individual, I'd be delighted to lend a helping hand - when this lockdown is over... Please, feel free to ask any questions.
  4. After the clay shoot was put away, Bob said he wanted to try fly fishing for the trout. I set up a #6-8 weight rod with a WF7F fly line, nylon leader and a small black gnat type fly. The trout are responding well to these types of pattern. Within 20 minutes Bob had hooked and landed a nice Rainbow of about 2lb. Unhooked (barbless only) and a quick pic and the fish was safely returned. When I left Bob was trying to catch a second, obviously bitten by the bug. Fly fishing tickets at Redbournbury are £15 and £22 for a one or two fish limit, you can then continue as catch and release. There are also Brown trout in the River Ver available on the £15 ticket, strictly catch and release. There is also an £8 evening ticket which is catch and release only. The coarse fishing lake is £8 for one rod, £10 for two. For more details about the site and the alternate Saturdays Sporting Clay Shoot (60 bird for £15) see my May 2015 post on the Clay Pigeon Shooting forum. Next shoot is the 25th July 2015 from 12:30, then every second Saturday after that right through the year.
  5. I believe the Almshoebury shoot is normally the first Sunday of each month, but have a feeling that it has been on a Monday in the past when it's a bank holiday. Can anyone please tell me when the next one is (Sunday or Monday)? I've not been shooting for over a year, and really enjoyed this shoot when I last went! Thanks in advance to anybody who can help
  6. Hi, I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if this has been asked many times before. Me and my cousin live near Stevenage, in Hertfordshire, and have owned air rifles for a few years now. I do regular target shooting and have done the occasional bit of pest control on a local farm but am struggling to gain land permission. I have knocked on many farmer's door but with no success. Is anybody aware of any local places to shoot or needs any help controlling pests on any land that they own. I am able to shoot Rats, Rabbits, Pigeons, Squirrels, Crows, Magpies, all of the suitable quarry for an air rifle. I am responsible and will get covered with BASC if I am able to get shooting permission. Any response will be much appreciated, thank you.
  7. Just come back from the newly opened/ newly managed Broomhills. Still in the process of being built, but i was very impressed. Already have seven stands open, with that set to increase in the coming months. The paths between the stands have all been re done so its less muddy which is a bonus! There is shooting now going out onto the fields behind the woods behind the club house. High towers are operational again for two stands. There is a promatic card system, so delay option available for solo shooters. People there seem friendly too.. The shop has all been re done, new windows and entrance etc... Quite a number of new/ s-h o/u &s/s available to buy. Bulk cartridge deals available too, limited clothing stock and various cleaning accessories etc... Saturday rate is 40p a clay, weekday rate 30p a clay. Members rate is 28p a clay for weekdays and weekends. Membership they said was £150, but if you can join with someone else, you can get for £100 each. So potentially might join if someone else wants to here... Apparently when you join you get option of 100 free clays or a lesson...
  8. Hello, I am a keen shooter and Im looking for some airgun pest control or shotgun in and around the hertfordshire/Essex area like Broxbourne, Stevenage, Epping and surrounding areas but also happy to travel. Happy to offer my help as a beater too. Experience wise, I used to go Pigeon shooting every other sunday many years ago, and now only getting back into it, was also a member over at East Barnet Shooting Club a couple of years back but that wasn't for me. Plus many trips last year at Rectory Farm clay pigeon Shooting Ground. I know asking on the internet isn't the most polite way, but given this day and age thought that this may help. So if anybody has any land I can shoot over or if you want some pest control undertaking, even in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks for reading and your time Regards
