  1. Hi, Does anyone know if this is still running please? From what i've heard, this is located somewhere near the FA Football HQ and the Vehicle Museum on Thurston Road Leyland. It's listed as a shooting club on many sites, although the phone number just rings out and there isn't an email address. Norman Livesey seems to be the contact but cant get hold of him. As I live in Leyland, i was thinking of heading down there to find it and have a chat with the guys as to joining... but would need to know the nights the club is open I'm looking for a club to join so i can shoot .22LR and start my firearms process. Any info on this club would be appreciated. Thanks Danny

  4. Morning everyone, I am a new member to pigeon watch, however my shooting compadre and I have been shooting for over 30 years. I have joined pigeon watch in the hope that one of its member may be able to help identify a 'rough shoot' either on or within a 50 mile radius of the Wirral, as the one we previously used in Angelsey has now unfortunately closed. My colleague Matt and I are really keen rough shooters and we would be incredibly grateful if anyone could help us out. many thank Mike
  5. Hi All, I'm in the process of doing my DAS, and looking to get my first motorcycle. Is there anyone who has a motorcycle either for sale, or maybe swap/px for a Beretta 682 Gold E (£1300) 32" barrels sporter. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/335560-beretta-682-gold-e-12-gauge/ I'm based in Leyland Lancashire. I have a mate who has full license so could test ride on my behalf if needed. Anything considered, as long as its not a chinese make! Thanks Danny
  6. Hello all, I am currently advertising mini driven/walked up LET days for a shoot I run in Lancashire. We are on Guns On Pegs, but here is a description. Hello all, Thank you for visiting my pheasant shoot advertisement. The shoot is located in Lancashire, near Bolton. After the success of last seasons mini-driven/walked up syndicate and LET days we have decided to re-offer the opportunity to visit our shoot for a days sport. This season I only have three dates to offer you. Wed 30th Nov 2016 Sat 31st Dec - FULL Mon 2nd Jan 2017 Sat 28th Jan 2017 The day will see 10 guns grace the landscape on a stand one beat one basis. We will be completing around 6 - 8 drives on the day depending on success, so each gun will stand on a peg for at least 3 drives. We will be walking up rough shooting in between some drives over separate areas and in 2 teams of 5/6 guns. The day is structured well and inclusive of your pheasant shooting we provide a hearty breakfast and a wholesome, home made 2 course lunch. We will be aiming for a good day with plenty of shooting. In terms of a bag limit, our syndicate guns will be looking for a 40+ bird day. Depending on your ability to shoot a moving target will dictate the end bag, but you will get plenty opportunity. Last season we put 950 birds down and returned 42%. This coming season we are putting 2000 pheasants down. The price per gun £150.00 with a discretionary beaters tip on the day. Please register your interest asap. Deposits required at the time of booking via Paypal and the remaining balance to be paid on the day Please note, shooting available for singles guns and groups of guns. Please, don't hesitate to contact me for further information.
  7. I'm looking to buy an SXP pump or similar. Anyone got a decent condition one for sale before I go and buy new? Not fussed on colour/camo black or field. In in Leyland Lancashire, jct 28 m6 willing to travel a little. Cash waiting. Cheers Danny
  8. Hi Guys (and girls), A big hello from Sunny Lancashire. I won't bore you with too much information but I've been shooting air rifles and rimfires since birth and have now dropped a cheeky application in to my local constabulary for my shotgun Certificate. I'm a member of the Theoben Rapid 7 forum, but when my gearbox dropped out of my motor I was forced to sell my MK2 pride and joy to some scamp from Cumbria. I vowed to move over to a 12 gauge whenever my finances next allowed. Any shoots, beating ops, pigeon ops, pheasant ops, crow/magpie ops, or chance to get out in the glorious Lancashire countryside in or around my area, any time of year, let me know. I have a couple of permissions at the moment, but unfortunately not really large enough to share. I'm in the process of going round the local farms, so if I get any traction or need a helping hand with any shooting, I'll be sure to let you all know. (Share and Share alike). License went off a few weeks ago, so I'm after a Miroku O/U when it comes through or similar. got about £7-£800 to spend, so anything around my area let me know. Looking forward to speaking to you all and happy shooting. Jonathan
  9. Hello all, I am in a position to offer "let" days rough shooting in Lancashire. The main quarry will be pheasant, but a strong chance of woodcock, snipe, pigeon and maybe a lift of duck is to be had. The day will be catered around your specific requirements of pace, terrain, breaks, elevenses and lunch on/off the moor. You will/can be driven around where possible if necessary, or a tough, hard day out in the country walking the land is also an option. This is not aimed at being a "big bag" day out with the gun. Mainly a structured wander with friends over the moors, pine plantations, rivers and reeds. Max 3 possibly 4 guns. The location is exceptional with back drops to be in awe of. Price per gun is £100 for 4 Pheasants. On and after the fifth pheasant is charged at £25 per bird. No charges for the other quarry named above. Please register your interest via PM. Deposits of 50% required at the time of booking via Paypal. Please note, most days will be Saturdays but special arrangements can be made for a group booking during the week. Dates not 100% confirmed yet, but let me know what date you would like to start with. Best regards, B12NDL.
  10. Does anyone have any experience with getting prescription shooting glasses in the Lancashire area? Other than Specsavers?
