  3. Good afternoon all, I'm looking to join a Wildfowling club in or near Ipswich, Suffolk. The two I have come up with are the North Suffolk Wildfowlers and Colchester Wildfowlers. As I have said in my welcome post a few days ago I haven't been shooting that long (about 8 or 9 months) and what I'm looking for is a club that will be welcoming to a new shooter who may not know all of the ins and outs of Wildfowling. I have had a brief email chat with the NSW but nothing was really mentioned to the helping of a new shooter. (well that's how I read it). So I'm posting on here to hopefully find and talk to some members of each of the clubs so I can see which would be best for me i.e. travel, cost, Friendly members etc.. Many thanks Yogi
  4. New member from S.Wales here, noticed this forum has very active members who are a good help to other so thought it a plan to join. Plenty of practice with 177 and 22 air rifles for 15+ years but now moving up to fac if all goes well.
  5. Hi everyone, My name is John and I'm 23 from Wiltshire. This is the first shooting forum I have joined and I am looking for some advice/recommendations as to what Shotgun to purchase as my first gun. I currently have to use one of my dads guns when we go shooting as I don't yet have a shotgun certificate but I have finally got round to sending my application off this week. I am 5ft 8", so a shorter barrel length 28" and below would be prefferred as I have tiny arms (haha) and find the longer/heavier guns uncomfortable to hold for an extended period of time. I would like an O/U or Semi-Auto 12bore (recoil doesn't bother me) and not really costing any more than £500 either new/used. I'm just really after some advice on what brands & models to choose, and ones to avoid! Thanks very much John
  6. hi,i,ve just joined and would like to say hello to everyone.
  7. WANTED - OU Beretta 687 - 20 bore 28 ins barrels in £700 - £850 price range? Hi - I have just joined and completed my profile so by all means see who I am there and then chat if you wish? Having lived 8 years in France I have been back here, now near Mablethorpe, nearly 3 years and am enjoying my favourite - pigeon shooting - once again. I have many interests, see my films on http://www.youtube.com/user/faith6651 or website http://peterwoodarts.com and would be happy to share such with new pals. Amongst other qualifications I am a CPAS advanced sporting coach and can offer guest invites to our local clay shooting ground. Look forward to hearing from you and even meeting at some stage if you wish. Peter
