  1. Hi Everyone I'm moving house so having a clear out of guns so that I don't move them just to sit in the cabinet unused! TBH they are all cheap and open to offers, especially if you want to buy more than one. 12b Lanber, sometimes doesn't shoot 2nd shot, being told easy to sort £70 12b Valmet cheap indestructible gun, bit loose but I actually like shooting this the most £50 20bore Adkin English side by side £50 .410 Aya single shot £50 12b Hatson semi spare or repair with all shims chokes etc Free 2 gun breakdown cabinet £70 You're probably not going to be taking any on a grouse shoot but if you want to smash some clays, shoot some pigeons or just have a spare or two PM me if interested, I'll throw in a handful of game cartridges with any of them.
  2. Hi i recently moved to cornwall based in portmellon. I come from a shooting background within surrey but love the outdoors and the sea and so made the move to Cornwall. I’m finding it very difficult to find shooting ground. I’m doing door knocking and still persisting. I have printed off my insurance documents and have written agreements all ready to go. I shoot shotguns and have a huge passion for pigeon and corvid shooting. I used to be part of a syndicate in Surrey so used to get to do a bit of game shooing. Being only 19 and not having the 20+ years of experience that everyone else does I think this puts be lower down the list for people. i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to let me accompany them on any sort of day out shooting. Even a morning/evening stalking where I learn to galloch a deer (done a few times in new Zealand but no master of the trade). I’m so eager and willing to learn but I’m just struggling to find the opportunities. Im fully insured with gun plan and very gun aware. look forward to hearing from you lot! Many thanks, Tom
  3. After going from my Baikal O/U to an Ugartechea SxS in three months I decided to keep my Ugartechea and get something a bit more modern, So I nipped along to Norgas Cartridge Company and purchased myself a Mossberg Maverick 88 in 12 Bore from my good buddy Webber, as always top service with loads of advice and a good natter when purchasing a new gun. What do you chaps think of Pump Action Guns compared to Side By Sides and Over and Unders or Semi Autos.
  4. Now that I have my FAC, I need to decide on what exact guns I'm going to be on the lookout for. Always great to hear some suggestions Heres what guns are on the ticket: .22LR LB Pistol .38/357 LB Revolver .38/357 Lever Action Rifle .22LR Semi Auto Rifle 12 Bore Pump (Already decided on Mossberg 590...for now)
  5. Hi all, I'm getting my licence soon and wanted a cheap first gun and found a 912K with a nice bit of wood on it for only £595 with chokes. I really like the look of the gun and sole reviews say it is great but others are saying it is absolutely rubbish and returning it straight away. I don't know wether to chance it or not?! (I wanted to start some clay shooting btw)
  6. opinions please...having just bought a new shotgun, i asked the dealer about sum snap caps to go with it, he advised that i wont need any as its better to leave the gun cocked as the load left on the hammer springs is ok and cheaper to replace than the ejector springs which would come under load if the trigger was pulled onto the snap caps? is he correct? i would have thought the ejector springs were still under load untill the gun is opened, fired or not.! thanks for your opinions and advice. dave.

  8. First of all- Hi guys, I'm pleased to be on the forum and hope to get to know some of you better over time! Essentially I am applying for the grant of a shotgun certificate (first time) and need a few things clarified. I have 7 years experience of shooting both target rifles (.22 and 7.62, airguns and shotguns) so I am well into the sport and very enthusiastic but it has always been at clubs or at a friends. Anyway here are my questions- thanks in advance for any help/advice I am 17 and while reading up online and talking to friends with FAC's and SGC's about purchasing shotguns and ammunition I have encountered age restrictions varying from 17 to 18- it even varies between police websites! could someone settle this one for me once and for all, 17 or 18 to purchase shotguns and ammunition? I live at 2 different addresses and was wondering what rules are regarding storing a shotgun in either address if I get my certificate, I do have a cabinet and a gun "clamp" which meet current specs so could have one in each but what are the rules, if I have registered one address on my form can I move the gun to the other whenever I am at the other address? I live in Scotland if that helps and one home is in Perthshire and the other in Fife so not a million miles apart. I would have access to shooting facilities from both places. Do I have to have my security (gun safe) installed before the visit from the firearms officer or can I discuss installing them and location within the house etc in the first meeting then have him visit again once this has been done to check the arrangements? These are my questions for now, hope you guys can help out Many thanks BenGun
