  1. Jackie and Richard Clarke have just installed a new pay and play range at Six Mile Bottom Shoot. I have been up to see it for work, it's in some woods and they have put a whole lot of effort and thought into it. Hard standing for the car park, get a card and shoot as much or as little as you like. They have launched a priority club for first chance bookings, email Jackie on the email below if you want to grab one of the last places. "It's a bit windy up here" I said to a colleague. "That'll be why they put the windfarm here then" was the crushing reply! But it made the clays more fun.
  2. Hi, Yes its the age old question of gaining permission to shoot on land. I currently shoot on a large estate and have known the estate manager/game keeper for some years without any incident. Being ex-military I am always polite and courteous of whom ever I meet whilst I am about shooting (in life as well), and this has stood me in good stead over the years (you never know who you meet whilst out). But due to partridge/pheasant shooting my shooting is curtailed between some months due to this well deserved sport as this earns the estate the money they need. So off I went looking for
  3. Hi, I'm 27, have recently moved to the Newmarket area and am looking to settle back into my shooting again as soon as possible. Ideally I'm looking for a local friendly syndicate for the 2015 game season and also for some pigeon shooting, walked-up vermin control on an ad hoc basis over the summer. I'd really like to hear from anyone who might want a mate to accompany them on outings or to help out when a second gun really helps. I have a couple of shotguns, appropriate insurance and over 10 years shooting experience. Thanks, Sean
  4. Good morning all, Myself and my brother in-law are looking for some land to work/help out on. We are around the Ipswich and Claydon area and are looking to work his ferrets and get some pigeon shooting in while we are there. If anyone has any ideas or hears of any land I would be really great full of a thought towards me. Many thanks Yogi
  5. Good afternoon all, I'm looking to join a Wildfowling club in or near Ipswich, Suffolk. The two I have come up with are the North Suffolk Wildfowlers and Colchester Wildfowlers. As I have said in my welcome post a few days ago I haven't been shooting that long (about 8 or 9 months) and what I'm looking for is a club that will be welcoming to a new shooter who may not know all of the ins and outs of Wildfowling. I have had a brief email chat with the NSW but nothing was really mentioned to the helping of a new shooter. (well that's how I read it). So I'm posting on here to hopefully
