  1. Comes with wildcat moderator. Approximately 130 rounds gone through it. In very good condition, really good vermin rifle and very light. £1250.
  2. Due to the usual reasons (all fairly innocuous! old age, changes of jobs etc) we have 3 vacancies this year on our small, DIY shoot twixt Beverley and Driffield in EAST Yorkshire. You'll find my adverts this time most years in the past! This is an established mixed bird (mainly pheasant, but partridge and wildfowl also) syndicate at a point where much of the work has been done. We have just started shooting on a new farm (we've moved off one farm due to a new owner, but found another bit of similar land - with significantly less mud!) and do have some setting up to do - but we have the kit - and a plan! We aim for 50+ bird days. We shoot 10 Saturdays as organised days, but membership allows 365 day / year vermin / boundary shooting. Location - think 'Driffield'. YO25... Viewing essential, (you can then see us, and we can see you! - I've had a couple of applicants over the years incapable of walking across a bridge over a dyke...) and, as usual we would probably prefer to recruit guns with a dog, and 'probably / ideally' recruit from the East Yorkshire area (we have had applicants from Slough (of all places!) last year - an ex member failing to find shooting nearer!) - we've even got a regular gun travelling all the way from Boston (USA - rather than Lincs!) Price... well, start a conversation and we can discuss (although a search on this forum may reveal the price if I've mentioned it in previous adverts!)
  3. Hi All, I’m trying to gain permission in northampton for pest control. I am currently trying my best to knock on doors and call in as many favours. As I know there is a huge network here I thought I would ask. Fully insured with BACS and have a good amount of experience. Currently using air rifle and plan to upgrade to SGC and FAC when possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all, Sam
  4. I’m currently looking for any oppertunity for 3 people to do vermin control around north wales I do have a vehicle so can travel and will take away and vermin killed on site we can also take away litter collected during the operation if needed we have two .22 rifles and a .177 pistol for rats
  5. Hi all, I have recently moved into wootton wawen and am looking to try and get out doing some pigeon shooting or vermin control. I am an experienced shooter with open firearms certification, DSC certification and insured through BASC. I'm currently a member of a deer stalking syndicate in Scotland with the forestry commission, Provide vermin control on two local golf courses with night vision equipment and a member of a rough shoot in Shropshire and am just looking to try and find some opportunities a bit more local or some contacts to try and gain some permission? I also Beat and pick up on a shoot in Nuneaton so getting involved with anything like that locally would also be good If anybody has any suggestions or can help in any way i'd greatly appreciate it. Feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks!
  6. Hello and thank you for the addition to Pigeon Watch. I've recently moved from Lincolnshire to Haverfordwest, having left a nice permission on a few fields that I did pigeon and vermin control. I have been asking around and the pickings seem slim. I use airguns for now but will be looking to FAC/SGC depending on how well I do in gaining permission to shoot. If it is any good I will finally be able to justify my SGC as shooting those wily pigeons with an air gun is more tricky than most things. I've nearly bumped into Deer and the pigeons spot me well before that! Hopefully some kind people will help a brother out and stop these airguns getting neglected. Thanks Liam
  7. What tactics do you use for shooting rabbits this time of the year? One of our farms have asked us to tackle some. Wouldn't usually do it this time of year as usually use ferrets for bolting and netting
  8. Good morning all I have been asked on several occassions to clear the odd fox as 1 off jobs, I currently use .17HMR but need to get a bit more distance and puch so I have asked the FEO for a .22-250. He has come back to me and agreed in principle however the catch is that I need to provide a farmers/land owners letter to say I have permission. Now the for the tricky bit the land owners concerned wont do this as it is one off jobs so I'm in a bit of a pickle can anybody advise or suggest any possible solutions. I have the chance of some good land to shoot over if I can do these 1 off jobs that have good potential to become regular permissions but without the right tool for the job i'm stuck. Look forward to your sensible replies ATB Brad
