Remington changed the design because of this and the mags are now metal. I was just wondering - 1) Does anyone have a 597 with a metal mag and is it any better and 2) Do people think I have a claim with Edgar Bros (importer) if they have changed a part to a gun that the manufacturer has acknowledged was not working properly. dunganick Posted July 12, 2005 Report Share Posted July 12, 2005 was there not a product recal, i recal when the model update was made, as i was intrested in the model at the time if there is a recal it might be replaced free even now, i should just give edgar bros a call, see what they have to say about it. what is the gun like? apart from the magazine does it cycle reliably? whats the trigger like?
