When do the Game Fairs/Country Shows season start ?

These are ideal places to arrange a meet up.

Bath and West showground at Shepton Mallet this weekend, I think.

I've been told it is a cheap place to buy clothing.

The last time I went to the Bath and West, it was at Dorchester, in the days when it used to move about each year.

Anybody remember that far back?

red stag88, I have been twice.

The first time was about 5 or 6 years ago and I thought it was rubbish.

The second time was last year, when a good friend persuaded me to accompany him. Guess what ? It was still rubbish and expensive rubbish as well.

The "experts" teach-ins are quite basic and (unless your in the front row) almost impossible to see or hear.

They have some nice angling innovations on show, but you can,t buy them.

You are only allowed to buy in the Shop Row.

Where you will find goods you can buy in your local shop, for half the price, or cheapish inferior Korean rubbish.

We saw people bringing back the "special offer" umbrellas before they had even left the Show. ;)

It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the Show, which is about the time it takes to get to the building, from the car park.

Best of luck, have a nice day out...........................go somewhere else. :)
