Nice Pics, what lens do you use to get these sort of pics

 

Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS zoom.

Its a big white one, which is also heavy.

 

These shots where taken from about 8 x 10 yards and I could hear the claws of the bird on the bark of the tree stump.

 

The lens was actually a little to large for the shots, as I wanted to catch the woody in flight really. Flying flat and at me.

 

Next time maybe.

Green Grass always love your photographs and know it's expensive gear you use,,, but can you recommend a good SLR and lens to get started even a link would be great.

 

budget say around £500 but could be pushed maybe a tiny bit higher, but lower would be nice
