Hello all

I have a prob with my 1100

When the gun is cocked then fired it only scuffs the primer.

looked at pin and it has a hairline crack ( can be seen in pics)

So I thought replace the firing pin

New one came through the post today stripped remi down and compared pins the new one is 3-4 mm shorter than the "standard one in my gun.

Spoken to the company i got it from they said it is the correct one do you want a refund !

Can anyone help at the moment i have a decrotive axe handle not a shotgun.!!!!

How bigs yours ?? lol

From Numrich Arms New York. Tel: 001 845 679 3520. Ask for Renate McGuire.

It looks to me as if someone has welded a bit on the end. Remember, these are free-floating pins. Check the buffer in the block and the firing-pin spring.

Thanks all

Spoken to Edgar Brothers they have said pin should be 75mm

Spoken to another gun shop in Norwich they have said pin should be 75mm

My new pin is 75mm and i think mine has been added too as Floating Chamber says.

Took it to my local gunsmith today who has worked on a lot of remmies in the past.

He stripped it down and thought it all looked ok but there was a bit of play in a bar/block in the trigger housing so he dot punched this as they become loose over time ( he told me)

So he put it back together and tested with a primed but not loaded cartridge.

BANG !!!!!!

**** me it worked with the old pin.

Took it down the farm on the way home

4 carts through it all fired ok "TOOT TOOT"

Changed pin for the shorter "standard 75mm pin"

4 carts through it all fired ok "TOOT TOOT"

Phoned my gunsmith and told him he is a witch doctor and thank you very much.

He wouldent take and payment as he only looked at it.

Hopefuly all is now good.

Thanks for all your advice

James
