-oXo-
How about using one of those small low 1 man tents? I'll link to the type of things i'm talking about. This is only $40 and could work I guess- http://www.epoutfitters.com/servlet/the-15...-ONE-MAN/Detail http://www.cadetdirect.com/order1.php?pg=414 http://www.surplusandadventure.com/shop/ou...uct-332810.html Just an idea? These types of one man tents can be picked up from a army surplus dealer for peanuts too. Edited March 11, 2010 by -oXo-

Does anyone use blinds and if so what do they think the advantage is over poles and net? They look good on you tube videos but I would imagine transporting them would be difficult unless they are left on site. What do folks think, what is your opinion? harrycatcat1
The first one would be ok if you could take a JCB with you or 3 or 4 terriers to dig the hole.
Quaker_Wacker
Has anyone made one of these? Does anyone use blinds and if so what do they think the advantage is over poles and net? They look good on you tube videos but I would imagine transporting them would be difficult unless they are left on site. What do folks think, what is your opinion? It's like everything - advantages and disadvantages. Yes, they may be a little awkward to transport on site unless you make it so that it "flat packs", but I don't think that any pigeons will have seen this being used before. That of course means that you can put your deaks all around your blind, and in the middle of the field. Disadvantage is that you have to "pop" up at the last second and then be able to shoot safely. Personally - I think that if you get the concealment right - the pigeons won't know what hit 'em - especially shooting over oilseed rape or cut wheat later in the year... Layout binds are also a lot less hastle that putting in a pit blind!!!! (and a lot easier to move)
