Exhaust / Air Jack

Looks like a suicide aid :good:

Seem like a good invention, wonder how good they actually are though :good:

I've seen them in action, very effiicient, very stable and very quick and take up very little space when not in use. The only drawbacks are limited lift height (compared to a Hi-Lift) and the fact that the engine needs to be running to inflate it.

You would be mad to get under any car that is just on a jack. I would never go under a car unless it was on axle stands or ramps. Look what happened to our foreign friend (Whose name escapes me completely at the moment)

Some of them actually state in the instructions that they are NOT suitable for changing wheels and are suited to recovery situations only, where there is a need to dig out, pack under a wheel or lay waffle boards. A bloke on the D3 forum has had his bushranger fail as it blew the valve out!

if it does fail when the wheel is off you are going to smash your brakes, probably your suspension and maybe even ram the suspension strut out of its mount and through the bonnet. As well as the chance if it drops while you are working, it may land on and kill you.

No thanks.
