Webton clay shoot this bank holiday monday

saw a poster about a clay shoot this bank holiday monday at webton clay ground - hesketh bank preston or southport starting at 11am

 

anyone know anything about it???

I know the ground used to go there a lot when I first started, normally about 8 stands 4 or so in a wooded area and the rest on an open field, last time I went they had a high tower of sorts.

 

It's claymate - plastic is ok they also sell carts, and the foods good, toilets etc

 

I get the feeling it's about £20'ish a 100 birds, but it's really a 50 bird shoot.

 

They can put on a few interesting birds

 

It's always pretty busy with locals, whom tend to be farmers etc and therefore a pretty relaxed place to shoot, a good mixture of people, and of course down to earth and friendly.

 

Good to hear it still going as they have had some planning issues recently.

 

If your up that way there a place called "The Dolphin" or the fish as the locals call it about 20 mins away, more of a DTL place but they put on a good small sporting layout.
