crocket
Hi all Just got back after a cracking days beating, and a mate said to try this recipe for a warming meal after being out in the cold all day. The wife set it all going at 11am and left it until 5pm in the slow cooker, its was absolutely brill, such a tasty surprise with just 3 ingredients. 8 oz mature cheddar 12 oz bacon 2 medium onions Dice the cheese into ½ inch cubes, slice the onions, slice the bacon into ½ inch strips. Place all the ingredients into a casserole dish and mix up and add water until the lot is cover by 1 inch. Cook in a low oven for 4 hours ish checking occasionally or with a slow cooker it can be left for 5 or 6 hours. Serves 4 skinny folk or 2 mesters Rules : No salt or pepper whilst cooking No stirring at all Serve with crusty bread, I promise its a belter and surely the wife can’t mess this one up ? All the best Crocket For the young ones 8oz = 200g ----- 12oz = 300g ----- 1 inch = 25mm Edited November 19, 2005 by crocket
