Which Chokes and which barrel first?

I am a newcomer to clay shooting but enjoying it.

 

Did a 50 clay last week and hit 18, went out tonight and hit 24, so quite happy with the improvement...

 

I did realise when I got back that I have not made a conscious decision to choose chokes and select a barrel....

 

So, what is a good arrangement for the chokes and which way should I set the switch (one dot or two?)

 

I probably need an answer in terms of notches on the chokes so that I understand....

If you're a newcomer then stick in Cyl and 1/4 until you start to get the hang of it. Probably 5 notches (or none, depending on gun) and 4 notches. Put 1/4 in the top and cyl in the bottom, fire bottom first :blink:

Is that one dot or two? It is a lanber if that helps...

cant remember which dots are on which side, but barrel selector switch to the right is bottom barrel first, hope that helps.

1 notch = full

2 = 3/4

3 = 1/2

4 = 1/4

5 or no notches = improved cylinder / skeet
