Which Chokes and which barrel first?

Recommended Posts

I am a newcomer to clay shooting but enjoying it.

Did a 50 clay last week and hit 18, went out tonight and hit 24, so quite happy with the improvement...

I did realise when I got back that I have not made a conscious decision to choose chokes and select a barrel....

So, what is a good arrangement for the chokes and which way should I set the switch (one dot or two?)

I probably need an answer in terms of notches on the chokes so that I understand....

One Dot First Barrel Two Dots Second Barrel.

Five notches on First Barrel Four Notches on Second Barrel.

:blink: You mean one dot bottom barrel and two dots top barrel, the selector will fire selected barrel first remaining barrel second :oops:

1 notch = full

2 = 3/4

3 = 1/2

4 = 1/4

5 or no notches = improved cylinder / skeet
