Marc M
Got my new gunsafe today, ordered a Brattonsound Sentinel 7 off Paul Hart, went to collect it earlier to find he'd sold out of the 7 rifle version, so gave me the 9 rifle extra deep Sentinel Plus instead, for the same price!!! What a cracking deal, if you're in the market for a new cabinet I'd make sure you drop Paul a line, he will definitely be able to sort you out! Thanks a million Paul, looks like I may have also got some pigeon shooting with Mike too, which was a massive Brucey bonus! Landed myself in hot water with the missus though, now I've got more space to fill in the safe, it means I'll have to go out shopping for guns again... oh well. Top marks! Marc M
Marc if you look its a 11gun anyway hope its ok,so 2 more extra guns to put in it??? Oh happy days keep on rolling, I've just counted the number of foam rifle spacers inside the cabinet and you were right, it's actually an 11 gun Sentinel Plus! More space for the money, and you rightly say I'll need another 2 guns to fill the gaps... Cheers Paul, what's that famous saying about pigs, being happy in ****, well thats me!!!!! Just back from the clay ground having shot my new 686 Silver Pigeon for the very first time, only managed 16 x 50, got soaked to the bone, lost feeling in my toes but still left SMILIN LIKE A CHESHIRE CAT!!!  God, I love this sport :o

Dave66
Which Clay ground did you get to Marc, was it Kelbrook ? Regards Dave66
Marc M
No, we went over to Rishton Sporting Clay Club, that's the only one locally we've visited, but have heard good things about both Kelbrook and Worsley Grange. Do you shoot at Kelbrook yourself? Marc
Dave66
Marc, I saw your other post with the photos, was this Rishton ? is it any good I have been to Blackpool a few times but only twice to Kelbrook , I am trying to sort out a day off work near christmes to arrange a lesson. Last time I was there I got talking to an instructor, nice bloke who gave me a few tips, but I need a lesson to sort out a couple of problems. I returned to shooting after a few years break, loads of people give you tips/hints, but it is what works for them I think a good instructor is the best way to go. Marc M
Dave, yes, the pics were taken at Rishton this last Sunday, I really like the shoot but as you can appreciate, having not shot at any other sporting clubs I can't comment on just how good it is. The big thing for me is that it's practically on my doorstep, it's not overly expensive and I know a few of the lads that shoot there, which is always a bonus, plus the owner and shoot manager are extremely firendly, approachable and willing to give their advice... still couldn't hit the high birds though. I intend to take a lesson once my SGC has come through, currently my gun lives with a friend in his cabinet so I can only shoot when he goes down to the club as he has to transport my gun with him. I'm not sure I'd be allowed to take lessons in this situation?
