Guest gloker
Went to Monckton shooting ground (north newbald near beverley/market weighton.) for the first time yesterday. I just wanted to put a hundred cartridges through a new semi auto before taking it out on the pigeons. Mike Jackson the owner gave me an impromtu (is that how you spell it?) clay lesson and I was soon hitting every clay! He even gave me a box of cartridges when I ran out, getting a bit over excited cos I was hitting them all! Lovely place, lovely fella. Cant recommend it enough if you are ever out this way. Guest gloker
I just went on the off chance of putting some cartridges through my new semi auto and was pleasantly surprised. You know what I mean, some clay grounds are a bit cliquey. I just turned up unannounced and had a great afternoon. He didnt like my new gun mind. said it was a 'bank job gun'! (black synthetic semi.) yanibaby
I agree!! Mick Jackson is a lovely guy, and Monckton is a quality ground - the best in the area I think.

I really got my eye in after the first ten, Im not a half bad shot but its been ages since I last had a go at the clays.
