Lord Geordie
Hi Guys! I have for sale my Peugeot 406 L 90 HDI on a 2000 plate (W) reg. 165.000 miles on the clock. There are a few age related marks but on the whole really tidy for it's age and the interior is also in good clean order. The carpets still look brand new under the mats. Long MOT and is also Taxed ready to drive away. It Will drive anywhere any distance it's a cracking motor. Bought 2 years ago for £1750 for towing our Caravan all over the UK no Problem. PAS 5 Speed Electric front windows Dual airbags with over ride on the passanger side for baby seats. CD Radio Reverse warning buzzer Tow bar It is one of the more sought after colours being Diablo Red metalic as per picture in the link supplied. Also being the 90 HDI does not suffer from dual mass flywheel failure that the 110 version has. The car returns 50+MPG on a run out and has NEVER failed to start first time and does not smoke either. The car has had a lot of work over the past year with all the paperwork to prove it. New Front disks and pads New Rear cylinders and shoes New BOSCH fuel filter housing and filter New BOSCH duraterm glow plugs New DAYCO Aux belt tensioner New Aux belt New front control rods New front whole suspension units ( legs / springs / shocks ) this little lot cost me £400+ alone. New front wheel bearings New bottom ball joint Peugeot chrome cill protectors In all the car has had over £2000 spent on it in the time I have loved it. I have replaced the black door handles with the correct colour coded ones and it makes the car look heaps better. The car will require either a new front bumper or a repair as listed further in the advert as there is a little chunk missing from under the N/S headlight after some idiot bumped the car on new years eve and drove off Found a company online who supplies the bumper shell in primer for about £45 + P+P There was superficial damage to the wing and headlight housing. The wing was replaced and the headlight housing was straightened but COULD be done a little better! But really it only needs the bumper to complete the repair though the car IS drivable as is and passed it's MOT like this without a problem and has been in daily use since. The car was never reported to the insurance company as I was TPFT only and with the damage being so slight I just did the job myself. I had the car looked over by a body shop for a quote on the repairs and they confirmed there is no chassis damage. The GF is now wanting to learn to drive so we are looking to sell to finance a smaller car for her as this is to big to learn in. All the car will require is a A track rod end joint (£14)/ and for £150 A local body shop can repair the bumper also line up the panels and paint it back in. I was quoted this the other week and still have the guys card. I have a set of Peugeot spot lights that sit inside the bumper AND a set of colour coded electric mirrors that can go with the car too. I am looking for £800 no offers! I will do a Oil and filter change free of charge for the purchaser before collection The car was just valleted last week after the pics were taken. Pics are here thanks Thanks Edited June 23, 2010 by Lord Geordie
