Cranfield
How would you, single handed, be able to fly a kite and be ready to shoot a pigeon ? I saw an idea years ago, of pigeon cutouts suspended from balloons as decoys, but they never caught on and just disappeared. However, I saw the hawk versions in use over fruit orchards as bird scarers, for quite a few years.

kip270
The kite is pegged down and if it is windy enough will stay up, (but i have flown kites for years, and the wind can be very unpredictable), so the decoy starts dive bombing at the wrong moment. Saw them at a game fair and thought they were naff then. The only good thing you could do with them is measure out 40-50yrds of line and send it up in the air for target practice A Deaf Husband and a Blind Wife are Always a Happy Couple
