Rizzini
Right lads. Just a quick question. I work in a RFD and i am being granted a FAC for a .22lr Can my boss GIVE me a rifle from the shop ? Imperfection
Cant see why not. Provided the gun is legal-you're only aquiring it and the 'sale' bit is irrelevant.

HW682
*If* for any reason you are still not 100% sure, then why not just buy it for 10p?

WGD
Yes he can. Under 14 you cannot use a Section 1 firearm; from 14 - 16 you may hold an FAC and be given firearms and ammunition within the terms of the certificate. From 17 on you can buy your own. Beardo
would have helped if you'd mentioned that at the start, but as per WGD's post, yeah gift is not problem.
Vince Green
The old blue FACs used to say "State reason for transfer eg lent, given or sold" Years ago you also used to see FACs with authority to acquire "one C/F rifle up to cal .308" on them as well. Much more sensible IMO. when did that stop? Edited June 30, 2010 by Vince Green

The lent given sold business is still wording they want to know about, but more in relation to SGC!!
