Although, I'm not happy about shooting deer with a varmint bullet, and would look to load something a little less destructive, coupled with a bit more energy for the bigger beasts. The beauty of handloading, means I can play with the options (powder, bullet, velocity, etc) to try and minimize such jump. Dunkield Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 Well you have a decent scope so you know it will return to zero, you just need a note of the difference. I have done this with 'range ammo' and expanding - and having re-zeroed for the day at the range, and then clicked back to the expanding settings the first shot is always spot on.
