stumacher
For sale as above. 233000 on the clock and have been told that it had a recon engine fitted around 45000 mile ago, But was not given any paper work to prove this. The engine still runs very smooth though. There are no clonks or bonks from the car what so ever. Mot'd till end of sept 2010 and taxed till end of april 2011 The interior is in good condition apart from the boot carpet and the back of the drivers seat. (see pics) The dash has not curled up like they normally do. All the electric windows work fine, The central locking work's but the boot and nearside rear door are a bit tempermental. There seem's to be no leak's from the sunroof's in the rain we have had latley. This does look like it has been taken down a few green lanes as there are brush mark's down the side possibly polish out the is a small amount of damage to the nearside front wing nothing major though ( See pic's) 5 good tyres, Body work in good condition apart from the wing. Also avalible are a set of 4 bf goodrich mud terrain tyre's on range rover alloys this will be at extra cost if you want them. If you are interested in just the wheels please Pm me. Viewing welcome after work hours. Any question's please ask. Asking price of £1295 ovno. If full asking price is paid i will be willing to put 12 months MOT on it for you. Just about to put the pic's on photobucket so please give me 10mins to upload them

Lez325
If the vehicle had a complete reconditioned engine fitted - the numbers on the Engine block would not match the numbers on the log book ( V5) would they??? Unless it was varied by a letter to inform DVLA- so you could actually prove this if you wanted to!! Just a thought- good luck with the sale Les
stumacher
I have had a look and the engine number matches with the log book, But like you say he may of told the DVLA. But the engine sounds as sweet as a nut and drives superb, It is well worth having a look at.
mickmep
my discovery has done around 230,00 miles, bought it with 180,000 on it 5 years ago. never had a problem with it, just regular services every 6000 miles. i was a bit dubious about buying one with that sort of mileage, but my old man is an independant landrover mechanic and they've had them in with 3-400,000 miles on without any problems. 300tdi's mind, as this one. better touch some wood now................ooh matron.
