Removing smell from stock

Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke from a wooden stock?

Must of been kept in an absolute minging place if a gun stock stinks of fag smoke!

Not specifically but a good clean with Legia or a gun oil ought to help!

I would imagine that its been around it for a while to actually smell . And i would think that alot of the nicotine and other **** had soaked itself in the wood. the smell will probably go eventually

Try a plash of white vinegar in warm water and a soft cloth.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. I was also going to get some Ballistol oil and rub that into the stock.

I think it may also be from the gun bag, as this also has the same smell.

Are you sure that it smalls of fags ? could it be the smell of the oil or cleaning agents on the gun . One oil I used to use smelt of strong cheesey feet .

Pretty sure it is smoke. I've wiped with water & vinegar, but that didn't do too much apart from clean it.

So decided to air the gun for a while, then I tried putting a dab of tea tree oil on the stock. May have done the job.
