Cherry Vodka...

400g cherries

200g caster sugar

70cl bottle vodka

Slit the cherries, but don't cut them in half.

Put in a pan with the sugar and 150ml water, then heat, stirring gently, until the juices run and the sugar has dissolved.

Remove from the heat, then spoon into a kilner jar.

Add the vodka and mix well.

Seal, then leave for 4 weeks before drinking (giving it a gentle shake every couple of days).

Here's mine (ready in a week or so)

Yes, I will be making cherry brandy, it`s a given, as is jam.

What else shall I make

More Cherry Brandy ...... Why make any thing else.

Malc by the way mate, he got 8 points and a £600 fine at the sherif court in Perth last week. Just to let you know. Both Dominic and his wife are recovered from their injuries and the kids are both doing great. Thanks again mate. :o

Good to hear that, it caused me some concern at the time, I will let the shift know. BTW - have the kids still got their teds ?

we pickled some at work today and then served them with roast woodpigeon and a bit of cabbage and some sauce flavoured with cassis. We have never had such a good response as we got tonight from the 36 people we served it to

That sounds good
