I shoot around Newton 'cos I beat on an estate there, us beaters get the beaters day, a ratting session or two and pigeon shooting for a while. I'd rather not say estate and gamekeeper names on an open forum, but he's well known around the area. I don't know either of the guys you know, as for people to ask in our area; well just get out and knock on farmers doors at appropriate times. My dad is friends with an old local farming couple so I might ask them if they've got any local farming friends who would let me shoot on their land, it's worth a try.
