Maidment78
Morning, Just logged on as part of my morning ritual and the screen showed red saying that Pigeon Watch Forums was an attack page and had been found to host malware from a pirate site called blamesllek.com (do not visit this site as it will not do you any long term favours!) and I should not eneter the site. Anyone else have this show up? bit worrying for this time of the day and put me off my toast,,,,
Bazooka Joe
Same here, you can disable the "block reported attack sites" in Tools-options-uncheck the box-click OK. Apparently it's firefox, why it has highlighted it I don't know, BJ
Frenchieboy
I had something like this come up yesterday (Evening) while I was logging on to check a PM. My PC asked if I wanted to allow it to run the program so as I did not recognise it I said "No" and cancelled the program - It sounds like I did the right thing. I didn't think any more of it until you posted this up. Well done for bringing it to members attention!

Billy.
blamesllek.com is showing a 404 error, so the server is unable to find anything for that domain. Therefore whatever threat was there, is now not. Oh and I didn't get a warning Edited September 16, 2010 by Billy.

julesl2000
I had the same thing, it looks like the PW site may have has malicious code installed or security was compromised? I would be interested to hear from any of the admin team as to what happened and if it is likely to have compromised any users machines that have been browsing to the site. Cranfield
We have no idea why Firefox has just started declaring Pigeon watch an "attack site". There are no problems that we can identify and we are taking the matter up with Firefox.

Dunkield
IE8 here and all is fine BTW IE 9 is out in Beta if anyone wants to try it, http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/ and yes, I don't need reminding PW is the spiritual home of the of Firefox fanclub
Cosd
Last night I got a pop up window saying thanks for requesting to install windows media player do you want to continue, I closed the box I'm not sure what would have happened if I had pressed 'next' tab! This morning I got the big red warning box like everyone else. Mods need to check the site in case anything has been downloaded on the site either on purpose or inocently not realising the file contains a virus; It's easily done especially when adding pictures, files or videos from the net. MC
Christ, Surely there are enough geeks on here to say whether it has been hacked or not? I have run a full scan of my laptop and it has found nothing.
