Hi all,

I have just seen this new semi auto by Beretta which was due to be released this summer. I guess it's inertia driven system would be comparable to the Benelli M2 which requires less cleaning and should have less jam's.

I have seen it advertised for £675 new.

Anyone tried this gun or already have one? Is it any good as that price seems crazy ???

seen them on the net, labelled "pintail" for the `merican market.

the price fluctuation is weird, £675 new up to £900,

shame they only make them in 12g with 28". i`d have got one in 24"

If I can find one locally for under £700 I think I'll get one to use on the woodies.

Be nice to see a review or two first though.

:good: Well here's an update I picked the gun up yesterday & went out in the afternoon to try it out had a go at so pigeons flighting tried various loads to see how it went on it cycles eley VIP which are 67mm & 28gr 30gr hull special pigeon 32gr gamebore 24gr steel & try'd some 3"steel 36gr at some ducks It cycled everthing that I put through it last night, it looks & feels like my mates Benelli :):D but not cammo a lot lighter than my escort & it handles better, plus besides the 10yr warranty for £5 you also get 1yrs mebership to the Sporting Shooter association & 6mth subscription to Sporting Shooter magazine. So I'm satisfied. Iv....

So thats Franchi, Benelli and Berretta all making roughly the same gun from the same design for the same market....No wonder GMK aren't interested in selling Franchi's although why GMK don't import the Franchi Fast Pro (which actually has a differentiation to the Berretta and Benelli I'll never know)

Seems a cracking deal

So lets get this straight,Beretta are now selling a new gun, which is based on 17 year old tech, will it recycle slow, can it digest everything from 21 grm upwards with ease like modern ones do?Be reliable?Sounds like they are not even going to trouble themselves to make it,just Brand name it, and all for £600,sounds like a micky take to me.As for a 10 year warrenty, how many people actually own a gun for 10 years because as soon as you sell it the warrenty finishes.I'd rather buy a S/H Beretta thats 2 years old,it'd probably be 10 times better

A Beretta 10yr warranty is transferable :hmm:

Frow what i've heard - yes, they have - but it isn't in competition with an extrema as it isn't designed to be pretty, just functional.

Any other feedback from ES100 oweners? I'm considering one of these along with the Benelli M2. Is the Benelli worth nearly twice the money?

:good: Hi, had mine a couple of months now & put about 500 rds through it & not had a miss fire yet! come's with 3 chokes cyl 1/4 & 1/2 for the money can't fault it alot better than the escort I've also got. I've used gamebore 3" steel for geese & eley vip's 67mm without a problem its marked as benelli on the barrel & as previosly stated its made or essembled in spain but for £725 & 10yr warrenty who cares.
