GUN CAMO

The talk of cammo tape and Mr. Salmons gun reminded to pass on a tip to you all.

With the help of me dear old ma, I am now the proud owner of a cammoed gun.

I used one of the realtree gunsocks and mum cut it and sewed poppers onto the rear section of it. It now clears the breech and magazine section of the gun and totally covers the furniure and barrell.

The neoprane scope cover was also adapted so it was not such a freacking struggle to put it on. 2 pieces of elastic now adorn it and it very easy to take on and off.

Intotal it takes 1minute to fully camo the gun now, and 1 minute to un-camo it. There is no hassle of sticky residue and it looks 100% manufactured and not cobbled togther by blind Eastern Europeans in the back of a sweat shop.

This is the way to go if you want to camo your gun. Yes it is a bit of hassle but well worth it. Thanks mom :sly:

Now if I could only take photos and post them it would be so much clearer.......

Snakey m8,

Be careful thoses gunsocks can retain moisture, be sure to take it off after every trip out !!!

Or you'll have a lovely rusty gun!!!!

Same as my pants then.

Thanks for the advice though. I have only used it once (in the rain ironically enough) and took it off to give the gun a good oiling.

Has anyone tried the 'snakeskin' (no relation) self adhesive stuff?

Aparently it heat skrinks down, but I would like to hear from anyone who has tried it..

Never seen or used it but have heard BAD things about it. It needs solvent cleaners to get it off. Not good for the furniture at all. Like cliches they should be avoided like the plague.
