bindi
Took the dog to the vets and he said it would have its back leg amputated. The vet's a bit old fashioned in his ways, so I asked for a second opinion Strangely enough, he brought a cat into the consulting room, waved it over my dog and said, yep, the leg will definitely have to come off. I couldn't bear the thought so I asked for a third opinion. The vet then came back into the consulting room with another labrador......it barked twice and the vet took it back outside. Then came the real shock....he said the bill was £1200 (and i don't have insurance) I asked why it was so much? He said his original bill was just £200, but said it was because I insisted on a 2nd opinion, then a 3rd opinion. He said the CAT SCAN cost £700 and the LAB TEST cost another £300     Seriously though, Bindi (my dog) is making slow but good recovery and she is a bit happier with herself. Edited February 7, 2006 by bindi
