bigt1754
sitting here with a coffee, and some custard creams, thinking would like a change. Now don't get me wrong, custard creams are a classic biscuit, and my favorite, but was thinking i need to expand my horizons in the biscuit department. Any recommendations that are not of the normal biscuit ilk? bigt

Any recommendations that are not of the normal biscuit ilk? bigt I'm easy pleased in the biscuit dept - ginger nuts or custard creams. Combine the two with Fox's Ginger Crunch . Be warned, they only stand a moderate dunk though

Paddy Galore!
the problem with biscuits is you need to choose one that doesn't get too soggy and fall apart when you dunk it, after years of R&D i have come to the conclusion that a course grained biscuit holds its shape the best, for example a hobnob. while for maximum absorbption a finer grain such as rich tea really soaks up fluid but you need to time the dunk to perfection or it will break. The best biscuit i've found are jammie dodgers as the jam acts like a glue and holds said biscuit together. ATB, Norm.
Imperfection
For coffee dunking you cant beat a McVities Hobnob, but they can only withstand one dunk before disintergrating! For any other biccy eating it has to be the classic Garibaldi.
