James_R Posted December 17, 2010 Report Share Posted December 17, 2010 Evening everyone! Just joined the forum and wanted to drop a quick message to say hi! I'm 29 and from Swindon, Wiltshire. I'm an active member on the Shootinguk forum also (same user name). Been shooting for around 12 months, mostly clays but went on my first driven shoot last month and LOVED it! I've heard of Bassett Breakers but never been - Is that where you shoot? To be honest I dare say I'm no different to most of the other new starters on here - I've never shot a pigeon but want to change that. I'm loathed to go out and spend hundreds of pounds on decoying equipment and not know what I'm doing with it, so I'm hoping to get someone to take me under their wing (excuse the pun!) for a day to show me the ropes! I know this isn't the right place to ask, so I'm sure there'll be a suitably grovelly post coming out shortly on a different page! Cheers! James Yes it is, We have a shoot on boxing day arrive 9.30, sign in - shooting starts 10 till 12. 50 bird sporting £11 to non members, carts are available, fibre wads only. Unfortunately I'm up north visiting the in-laws for a few days over Christmas so can't make Boxing day, but will definitely check the place out early in the new year.
