Carbonrocket
I was shooting rats at the time and could hear a beltching call sound behind (I thought it was sheep). The sound went deep at the end I continued to shoot rats until it registered that it was close and moving fast so I spun round and saw the fox with the NV. I fumbled with the record and only managed this. I think he was at 60 yards, my focus was set to 20-30 yards for ratting at the time but still and indication of the viewing. Sorry but only a few seconds of film, I tried to squeek him in close but he was not having it at all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS63uSF1hDM Cheers all Carb

Carbonrocket
Pulsar N550 I'm guessing Indeed it was. I wanted to get him in close to have a nice look. I am sub 12 foots air so any shot is totally out of the question. Caught on film close up though would make my month!

highseas
the pulsar is a digi sight so you can plug your phone/cam corder/ipod thingy in to it and record what you se in the scope makes an awasome scope cam

Carbonrocket
Thanks all. The Pulsar has a TV out so I plugged it into a Yukon MPR (minature Player Recorder) The newer models record sound on the MPR at the same time (not brilliant) but an indication. pavman
what do you thik is a sensible claim of distance to be able to shoot a fox with the N550 if fitted to a CF
Carbonrocket
what do you thik is a sensible claim of distance to be able to shoot a fox with the N550 if fitted to a CF To be honest my Pulsar has been losing long distance focus for some months. When I first had it I could see fair with the onboard illuminator at 200yards. I have the add on illuminator and could imagine that 300yard views would be possable but really stretching it. The limit is the 4.5x magnification for an accurate shot. But with the add on illuminator I recon 200 yards would be pretty good. Once I get mine sorted I will do a decent vid of shape and distance Edited January 21, 2011 by Carbonrocket
