i dont know who produces the winchester shotgun cartridges at the moment. Till last year it was Dionisi Italy. They are not as good in my opinion and in the experience of a good friend (who fires every year round about 10.000 carts) as Baschieri and Pellagri and Clever Mirage or Nobelsport. Buy british or if you want a Italian Cartridge one of the ones i listed before.

Winchester make superb shells, the Winchester Western is the cartridge preferred by Jim Albone, (and he knows a thing or two about Pigeon shooting), however my advice would be steer clear of using 28 gram 7's for Pigeons, they just don't have the killing power required.

Stick to 30 gram 6's minimum.

The shotgun cartridges you can buy in Europe are NOT made by Winchester Olin (USA). They are produced by different factories in Italy. Thats the problem. For that reason they are not always the same. Only the brand that is printed on is the same.

I know exactly, that Dionisi have produced some shells for winchester. And Dionisi is in the opinion of a lot sporting shooter ****.

So it depend what charge you get. It is possible that there are too some good ones. I dont know the oter factories that produce for Winchester.

BTW: i have heard from a really well informed guy that B&P produces cartridges for Gamebore. Have someone else heard of that?

B&P is probably one of the best shotgun shell producer and quite a lot of people know the Gordon System they have invented.
