lspencer
Im a liverpool fan so after signing Saurez i thought things could only get better........... How wrong was I! Hours after signing Saurez, Torres hands in a transfer request My belief is, if the player dosn't want to play for your team then there is no point in keeping them. I always think of a bad apple in the cart! I think that if 50-60M is offered LFC should take it. Just wondering what your thoughts are about the situation? I will brace myself for the replies from Chelsea and Man U Fans

UKPoacher
good to see torres leave he has a bit of sense and is leaving a sinking ship before he drowns So one overpaid millionaire wants to leave and another overpaid millionaire wants to join Liverpool. Who actually cares? Edited January 29, 2011 by UKPoacher
ollie
Can't see Liverpool getting 50-60m for him, possibly 1 1/2 years ago when he was on fire. I still think he is worth 30+ million as he is still relatively young and has proven he can score consistently in the Premiership. He is a bit injury prone aswell which might count against Liverpool. I'll be glad to see him go (as a United fan) because he always tormented Vidic.
Devon Fox
I am a united fan - and I wouldnt flame You I agree with You, the moment a player wants out, as far as I am concerened its on Your bike son for as much cash as We can get. I felt that about Rooney at the time - and since changing His mind, has really struggled to get anywhere near His previous form. I think Fernando should be told to do one, no player should be bigger than the club - just look at Tevez, it wasnt his lack of ability that saw Him leave us
bullet boy
As a lifelong Liverpool fan I've always said if a player doesn't want to play for you then let him go,whoever he is!!Torres is world class and I've always liked him,but he has looked like he hasn't enjoyed himself for a while now!I think these high profile players dont like the rough with the smooth, they want glory all the time IMO!!Get £40m for him and we can buy someone who does want to play for Liverpool! Fernando-We can walk alone without you!!
Devon Fox
The other thing that boils My urine - players like Fernando who when signed, claimed to be a lifelong Liverpool fan - what a crock of carp I honestly believe that the only people who care are us, the fans. There are very few honest players that are genuine fans, Gerrard, Nevilles, Scholes Giggs etc the rest just want ££££££££££££££££'SSSS
Fisherman Mike
Torres is not the Torres of old hes a 1/2 yard slower and obviously carrying a chronic knee niggle. Im suprised he wants to join Chelski they cant offer him anything. Im suprised he isnt moving back abroad. Liverpools success was always built on Clubmen, and Loyalty similar to Manchester United in the modern era... Thats what they should try and get back to. I dont think they will miss him he hasnt exactly set the Premiership alight this season
bullet boy
Torres lost his form when he cut his hair-just like Samson lost his strength when he cut his hair!!

ollie
He should have got a perm and a new tracky Very good mate . I think we have got a real gem in Chico, his pace and finishing is brill. He is always on the shoulder of the last man and reminds me of a young Michael Owen. jonevo
I dont see Torres going, now that Suarez has signed, from people who I consider that know there football, they are led to believe that Torres has asked for a transfer, through his agent, whilst he has been away from the club visiting Spain. Further to the story Torres has now sacked his agent and says he will remain at the club. make of it what you will.
ollie
why is that is he another sicknote? KW Hasn't been injured all year, hopefully it stays that way. He is a brilliant outlet, when things aren't going well and need a bit of speed up front.
bullet boy
I do hope Torres wants to stay!We need two good strikers up front!I don't agree with playing one man up front!!
originalgeezer
Torres will go in the summer, in my view. He was as good as gone last summer till Roy convinced him not to - according to one source he already had his Jet booked for 12 months to fly to London on contract. He is at the age he has to make the most of his career and at Liverpool at the moment he is not going to realise his desires. My view is that by the summer he will know if Chelsea are heading for the Champions League or not, as it is "unlikely" Liverpool will be. Also, lets be fair to the lad, he has seen how Liverpool has burdened Stevie G ......who I also think will be looking for the door come summer, Real Madrid? Liverpool have had too many years of not developing and refreshing the team, funnily enough a road Chelsea had begun to go down.

Stevie G won't leave Liverpool now,not with Kenny in charge.I also think that if Torres goes he'll go before the Summer.Liverpool are rebuilding, they've got rid of bad rubbish in Benitez and still need to ofload a few players,Konchesky,Jovanovic etc. With new owners who I hope mean business,I'm sure we'll be a force to be reckoned with in a few years time!! ollie
more to do with the fact that he's nearly 31 KW I was just going to post about his age; lets face it Liverpool won't let Gerrard go cheap and who wants to pay big money for a player who is past his peak , maybe the pensioners at AC Milan
