key to shooting big bags?

I've been shooting for a couple of years and have never made a ton. I have had days on 2 or 3 occasions when it was on but i blew it. I find i can never stay 100% comfortable in the hide for too long and tend to fidget and end up shooting off balance or not letting myself swing properly. Its funny just lately i have missed so many sitters, so today i decided to hit the sitters and just by concentrating a bit harder they seemed run of the mill again. I dont need a ton but it would be nice, its just great to get a regular flow of targets. To me 100 good targets in an afternoon is as good as a ton.

You need the right field with steady one and two birds traffic

coupled to a good hide under the traffic

coupled to a good pattern with deeks replaced by dead bids asap

coupled to a nice breeze carrying the sound of shots away from any holding woods

coupled to dull weather conditions

coupled to steady accurate shooting to kill pairs

coupled to not leaving the hide too often

Really good bags need all of the above.

Agree with most, though I have had several good days when the sun was blazing.

Have to add that pigeon traffic coming in from the same direction will make the job easier too, so wind/hide placement is critical for that.
