Trying out tin Crosman Accupells .22 in my AA TX200 HC

Very tight fit and not that accurate at 30yrds using about 50 pellets

Got and and decided to sort them and found out of the 450 left that

120 had an seam running from the top to bottom all around pellet.

None were squashed,,

This seems a lot of waste.

Anybody else had this problem?

Will stick to AA or JSB in future.

This seam looks like a thin 0.5mm - 0.75mm seam like the mould was dirty

and did not seal tightly.

rest of the pellets are clean

Just tried in my HW35K they seem to fit ok in this.

I used accupells when i had my hw 90, i think its normal to have that seam running along them if i remember rightly, that is the design  i may be wrong thou as it was a few years ago

More like a flange than a seam.

Iv never had any problems with accupells and i thinks its nothing to worry about :good: Remeber different pellets suit different rifles,i think its worth trying different pellets.

Will

120 pellets their not a diff size they have a large flang of swarf that i could cut off with a knife.

the remaining pellet shoot ok and are accurate, i was just saying 120 deformed pellets is a lot of waste?

I dont like/use Accupell anymore. They are a rip off, there quality is getting worse, and they are USA made.

I use Logun Penetrators (veery expensive) but they are very consitantly made, and dont damage easily. They come in a protected box, wrapped in a small plastic pouch, and are clean and shiny with no swarf, barely a mould seam line, and they kill every time. Well done to the people that designed them. Im sure different models will come out to suit other guns in time.. but I find them to be the most efficiant hunting pellet I have used yet.. despite they do not fire well in certain guns..

I used to love Accupell untill I tried Webly Lazadome, and AA Diabolo field (though these are often easily damaged, or come damaged)

i use accupells, shoot fine in the hw77, hit hard enough, seem to be very consistant, very few damaged ones in the few tins ive been through. But then airguns arnt really my thing, i just shoot rats with them not alot else, so i can tay ive tested accuracy at 50yards etc...

Just looked at the photograph and basically the quality control at manufacture as failed BADLEY ??? ......I use these pellets at FAC powers and they are good and I reccomend you returning them and getting a replacement Tin .................You could end up regretting not giving them a second chance
