Steve Posted February 26, 2002 Report Share Posted February 26, 2002 While buying cartridges last night I got talking to a fella who passed on this tip. Get some wire and make a cradle for the bird to sit in that has a piece of wire coming out each side under the wings, then make two pegs with a loop at the top of each. When shooting, stick the two pegs in the ground, set the bird in the cradle and put the "sticky-out" pieces of wire in the loops of the pegs. Finally, run a length of fishing line from the pecker to your hide and set that pigeon pecking! I don't know if I've explained this terribly well, but I made one from a coat hanger last night and it seems to work. The best way of describing it is like a see-saw.
