955i
Hi all, just wondering whether anyone had owned one of these and had to replace the glow plugs as my friends 2007 d4-d estate has starting problems and we suspect this is the cause. Need to know if its a dream job or a nightmare before I commit to mending it for her
drut
Only work I have had to do on D4-D has been egr clean but Toyota forum helpful http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=108220 may be of help.Personally I would lift off the plastic top cover & check location first, mind you it tends to be "favour" jobs when glow plugs snap off etc. Regards:D.R. caeser
I have done a toyota Rav4, which is basically the same engine. Its quite a straight forward job really. No nasty surprises. Go for it. Easy peasy. Just remove the intercooler, only about 4 screws, and a couple of jubilee type clips, from what I can remember. Then theres a plastic cover under that, which is only 4 or 5 screws. Once thats off, you'll see the glow plugs at the front of the engine. Easy access. No problem. 955i
Thanks for the replies guys. Have ordered the plugs and will take my chances, just hope none break (and that this is what the problem actually is or its back to the drawing board )
