browning n spaniel
when you picked the bird up did you look to see how many pellets had hit it?, my guess at that distance very few if any, i recon it died from heart attack
Hamster
I read this a few times but still confused, 100 yards but was about 50 foot up in the air!
Dorsey
100 yards to one side AND 50 feet in the air? Glad to see you're still trying tho Lukey!
Hamster
100 yards to one side AND 50 feet in the air? Glad to see you're still trying tho Lukey! Hmmm, it makes a little sense I suppose, although if it looked 100 yards to him it doesn't really matter how far up it was too does it? It's still 100 yards no? Dorsey
It was probably 10 yards and 50 feet and a good typo If it was anything like 100 yards then he's a very silly boy.

But skilful shot haha Not having a pop, but to take on anything at 100 yards isn't really the done thing. It's easy to wound birds that are decoying, let alone wayward shots like that. As you said it, was a fluke and if you tried 1000 more times you may not bring the bird down, only wound.

Magycgsps
This type of shooting only plays into the hands of the ANTI'S . Best kept to ones self in future. Magycgsps.
browning n spaniel
dont think this lad having a wild shot is going to play into the hand of the antis, they got enough to do by ******* of the local hunt.,we were all young once and All taken wild shots,
Magycgsps
if you think that shooting is not on the agenda for L.A.C.S. your very much mistaken. I have been shooting for over 50 years and wish for it to go for my grand kids to enjoy as much as I do.
browning n spaniel
may beso, but a lad being so proud of a wild shot and hitting the thing ent going to change anything that the antis have planned ,you say that youve shot for 50 years , in all that time then you have never had a wild shot? lukeyboi
Well cheers to the one that called me epic idiot it was not a dangerous shot in anyway and couldn't of harmed anybody it was a spur of the moment shot and distance was not judged untill it came down one pellet through the neck none believers I was with Matthew Gould on the forum so my proofs with him that sort of shot is not against the law nor is it pushing anything towards a shooting ban
