Cosd
Popped into a friends on the weekend to find him tearing his hallway apart, he's decorating the whole house and he'd started the hallway. He had to take his gun cabinet off the wall as he'd removed the cupboard it was in. I actually don't know what his plan was with the cabinet not being fixed anywhere, but I insisted I take his gun and put it in my safe till he sorts himself out. Today the same mate got his house broken into! I'd hate to think what the reprucusions would have been if the gun had been taken whilst his cabinet was not fixed to the wall like it was supposed to be!! Browning 425 clay hunter
Good job you called round. You might of just saved him his licence.
Cosd
Good job you called round. You might of just saved him his licence. For sure! A lesson to us all I think. Especially this time of year when burglary's are rife, and just because we are in the house even that doesn't mean the toe rags won't break in still. I know my friends situation is unusual, but just taking a quick shower when you get back from shooting and leaving the gun out of the safe is a risk not worth taking. ferguson_tom
Very lucky, My FAO said she was not happy with the idea of putting my safe in the loft as she said I would come in from a days shooting and leave it on the side till i can be bothered to put it away, she was right and having it in the cupboard means i have no excuse not to put it straight away.
