Hornet 6
DM80 CANT BEAT IT Been there done that, and all the other common upmarked ones, can beat it. L.E.I. 17 mod is all would ever use now, will last forever and is also the smallest mod for an HMR I have ever seen. Neil.

Neil. +1 on the LEI, cant be stripped but a spray every now and again with WD 40 and allow to drain through is all it needs every thousand rounds or so. SPARKIE
for the money the sak works well and is stripable ive had 2 and never had a problem and less than half the price of a dm80
Blunderbuss
I use a Swift precision mod on my 16" barrelled CZ. It's a nice slim design, lightweight and stripable for cleaning. Mine is proofed for HMR and the baffles are holding up well after about 7/800 rounds, a bit of erosion on the first one but nothing too bad. Feels much better quality than the SAK I have on my .22. Frenchieboy
SAK mods work quite well on a 17HMR and they can be stripped for cleaning. As an added bonus if a SAK mod starts to burn out Jackson Rifles will exchange it! I have a Parker Hale temporarily on my HMR at the moment while I am waiting to get my SAK exchanged. The parker Hale isn't as quiet as the SAK but it does the job for the time being! I haven't tried a DM80 but I know that they are very well built and "reasonably priced", and they can be stripped down for cleaning. Dave Mercer is a great chap to deal with and well worth contacting if you want a DM80! I intend getting a DM80 made for my .243 as soon as I can afford it!
