Redditch
Some shell decoys and a nice bucket seat with swivel top wouldn't be a bad investment And a gun with cartridges of course :yp: :yp:

Cosd
dose it matter what shells or any UK Shootwarehouse had a deal on them, £30 for 12 flocked shells. Good quality and a decent price I think. Mention PW forums and you get 5% discount (up to £100 spent, and 10% if you spend over £100)

Cosd
thanks mate think i get them Before you buy them Kev01, though I'm sure these will do a decent job, the flocked ones are far better in that there is absolutely no shine to them whatsoever. Normal plastic Shells will shine or glisten, especially when wet. I started with normal shells too, and I can see how 25 of them is tempting. From experience and having changed from plastic to flocked, I think I'd opt for 12 flocked rather than 25 plastics. You're also getting springsticks with the UKSW flocked ones adding movement to your decoys, whereas the Ebay jobbies are normal pegs with no springs. Just my personal opinion, not necessarily the right one. Above all else, welcome to decoying, get out there and enjoy a great sport.

I would agree with this, as flocked are far superior, and having spring sticks will add some more movement to the pattern too I didn't know the UKSW ones were flocked and came with spring sticks, as that makes them good value too Edited January 16, 2012 by Redditch

motty
A dozen shell decoys, a couple of floaters and some dead bird cradles should see you right fo most occassion. With a magnet and flapper in you arsenal, i wouldn't bother buying floaters. Dead bird cradles are a much better buy, though. motty
thanks for your help men so just some shells and cradles then? Yep. I don't think you can go wrong with some uksw flocked shells and some dead bird cradles. Those - along with a magnet - is all i use for 90% of my decoying. Redditch
Me, when I go out I use two flappers and a four arm magnet, with between 20-40 pigeon deeks, about 12 crow deeks, and 6 magpie deeks, and then whack whatever comes. Mostly over here that's crows and magpies, with very few pigeons
