Benelli Supernova?

Hi

With regards to my previous thread about pump or auto. I have been looking around and the benelli supernova has taken my fancy, but there are on or two things about it that caught my attention:

first is its a 3.5" I believe, but do they cycle a 65/67mm cartridge ok?

the one I am looking at has a 28" barrel and I have read that they seem quite big, but I dont know if thats americans comparing it to 18" barrelled defence guns.

Roughly how much would a 24" barrel cost if I wanted one?

Thanks

Ed

Our supernova has cycled all cartridges ok no problems, but it does say 2 3/4" to 3 1/2" in the manual.

price wise if you are buying new the barrel length should make no difference.

i've got a 26" barrelled one and its not unweildy to use rough shooting, i personally wouldnt have

anything longer on one of these. 24" would have been my preferance but when i bought mine there

were no supernovas about and when they came in the 26" was the shortest of the lot that came in to the rfd.

Like others, mine has no problems cycling smaller cartridges, i've even used 2" 'custom' slugs in mine and it worked fine :good:

They are BIG guns though, i've got a 26" barrel on mine and personally i think the gun is a little too long but that's just my perception of it.

Benelli barrels are pretty damn expensive, when i priced one for my M2 it was £480 and that was 3 years ago
