Blackpowder
SxS times 4. Blackpowder
bedwards1966
SxS takes some beating as far as I'm concerned, I don't have an O/U and don't want one! Mind you, I often use a pump, you missed that out of the vote!
silpig5
o/u for 99% of shooting sxs for xmas shoot 410 sigle for ratting in the barn
Piers Austin
Likewise,my favourite all round gun would be (is) a pump action..not mentioned in the survey! I have a 16 bore sbs for fun days, and have to have an o/u for formal game days. Cheers
Thunderbird
I've got 2 OUs, a SxS and a semi. Each does a particular job. The one I enjoy shooting the least is probably the semi, if I'm honest, even though it is a Remington 1100, the finest semi ever IMO. lxtav
As i only have one gun (just started shooting) it would have to be an o/u as i have never fired a sxs or semi. But i do prefer the look of a o/u over a semi or sxs.
Beardo
depends - sxs for driven and semi for pigeon, i've gone right off my ou!
Thunderbird
My OU sporter fits me really well and I enjoy shooting it. Thinking about it though, I enjoy shooting all guns really...

ferrodo
SXS for me but I use an O/U on clays. Had a semi auto but got rid....it was just a machine...no soul if you know what I mean. And as for my old Webley and scott BA single .410 well
ayano3
I shoot with a sxs and a semi, totally different guns for different things. I love my AYA no4 for game and pigeons but the Semi is great for the marsh as it takes 3 1/2" loads. I have owned a O/U, a Lanber Sporter, but it had to go, I could not shoot a thing with it even though I had it altered to fit. My vote went to SXS. MattSoanes
I use my Over and Under for game shooting and the Auto for everything else.
bullet boy
I voted Semi simply because I prefer it over the other 2. Love my Winchester SX3!
Dekers
As usual, this will be influenced by human nature and what people have. I don't like SBS, just can't get on with them, I like O/U but Semis just work, forget any political correctness bull, they are efficient and easy to use, pumps, single shot whatever, may get the odd vote but Semis are charging through the ranks these days! It's 2012, in the 1800's things were different! ATB!
Sco77w
Hardly shot my semi auto since buying my 686 onyx. I almost regret jumping in and buying it first, its not a bad gun, in fact I can't fault it. I just prefer my O/U.
Thunderbird
I have to say despite loving my 1100 the more I shoot OUs and SxsSs the more 'clunky' I find semis.
kent
is there a trend for semi auto's or is the old side by side still a favorite Autos are taking over for hide work but stack berrels have overtaken s/s guns now. Personally athough i shot my u/o well i never got to like it as much as the side by side, it was harder to load and didn't carry as nice over the arm
Thunderbird
didn't carry as nice over the arm Nothing carried over the arm better than a SxS, gun wise that is.
