I work odd, long and very lonely hours... apart from when I see clients I am usually stuck in my office alone doing something or another, more often than not very mundane.. No office banter, don't go out, I have good friends but none I socialise with due to distance or mismatching work commitments.. Pigeonwatch is my only real social life... I think I'd go bonkers without it and I see many of you on here as more than just forum aquaintances, whether we have met or not! I don't see it as sad... it's just the way life/work/family & passtimes work for me.. Sad reality of running your own business that doesn't really invlove any other staff or the need for an office.. When I go stalking it is inevitably on my own, can't remember the last time I went pigeon shooting... everytime Mike (Hawkeye) or John (Mag357) ask, you can bet I'm up to my eyes in paperwork (this week it's my annual compliance inspection on Friday so just getting ready for that... BUT... tomorrow I'm going over to Diggle for the day for some fresh air and a blat with the rifle ) First thing I do when I come into office on a morning is fire up PW and it stays on all day... It's a good social experience and I've had some serious laughs as well.. Long may it continue Thanks for the invites guys.... don't think I'm sat here all lonely and sad... I'm really not... I just wanted to point out that PW is FAR more to some of us than just a silly old shooting forum! Keeps me sane! Strange as it may seem to many I don't know it all by a long way, and those are the subjects I watch and try and learn from, when I comment it will tend to be from personal experience, mine or those I have been out with! I've shot 11 fox 6 with my rimfire rest with 12b, rabbits varys recently not many but where i used to live between 0-20 2times a week, never shot more than 35 pigeons on my own and don't bother at all now, shot 4 partridge 3 pheasants dozens of squirrels and crows never shot a deer and no real desire to either No offence but don't really see the point in this thread to be honest unless you intend on naming and shaming, most people correct the bullshatters on the original threads, seems like your just bored or in need of a bit of attention.
