Olympic Torch Route

I haven't been too bothered to date about the Olympics but I noticed at the weekend that the route passes the end of my road. (My house in the UK not my place in India obviously).

As I'll be back that weekend I might therefore pop along. In fact I can feel a money spinning sideline coming on. I live on a private road so will be charging people to park. Will get my guns out and be saying "pay up or get orf my laaaand" like Farmer Palmer out of Viz.

It comes within a few miles of my house too, I hadn't realised that.

I will WFH that day a pop down the road to see it, as I doubt it will happen again in my lifetime.

Looking at the crowds the David Walliams swim drew locally I imagine I won't be alone

I was just about to write "it's a Saturday so perhaps you won't have to WFH". Luckly before I wrote it dawned on me that it's only a Saturday for the route past my house and other routes that fall on a Saturday or Sunday. 5 out of 7 days a week are obviously not on a weekend.

Wisely the avoid Croydon as it will either be nicked or used to set a fire. Ill bet if I went out and ran down the road with my mag lite the chavs would think its the real deal.

I have got to spend 9 days in Croydon in April at an employment tribunal. Lovely!

It's in Havering on the 22nd July, may pop along. By the time the opening ceremony kicks off on 27th I will be relaxing in the Virgin Exec lounge at Heathrow, no electricity or tv where I'm going for two weeks, so no Olympics for me.

I'm guessing Kenya / Africa again, but how on earth do you get it past the missus (even working to an assumption of no hanky panky / dirty tourist destinations).

I know a lad who's running it somewhere in Kent, he's running it for all the Gingers, that's his tag line and why he was picked???

Did anyone see the 99 year old woman on the news who's a torch bearer, jesus if I'm that fit at 70 I'll be grateful totally amazed she was 99, unless of course it's some crafty OAP plan to become a torch bearer and she's really much younger.
