Robin128
Speak as I find...thought he did a fair job on his investigation into the source and usage of water...in particular irrigation of farm crops during drout. He should develop the thread and look into desalination. Well done Craven!
keg
De-salination is great but needs huge amounts of cheap power which means nuclear and as our bearded sandal wearing brown rice eating tree huggers ( no generalisation at all there chaps!) don't want it or any more coal powered stuff we are at somewhat of a dead end... -Mongrel-
We will build more nuclear stations simply because there are currently no viable alternatives and we are wanting ever increasing supplies.
Tug
Wind is the future. It's unobtrusive and it's operable 100% of the time... ...oh hang on. I mean it's bloody ugly, ruins great tracts of countryside, doesn't work if it's not very windy and has to be disengaged if it's too windy. I've got a better idea, let's burn hippies. It will reduce methane emissions, prevent the deforestation of the rainforest for the farming of soya products and out the Guardian out of business.
