white flash
Hello to all Members,Whats your views on Rapid 7 or Daystate Huntsman classic.Which one i should buy.Cheers
Salop Matt
For me it would be the lower shot count and but better quality of the daystate ! The huntsman all the way
bullet boy
I like both rifles to be honest. If I was to choose one it would be the Rapid simply for shots per charge but both are extremely accurate rifles. Get a Rapid 17(.177) is my advice.Brilliant rifle!!
tweedledee
rapid any day of the week. shot count and function.
bullet boy
IMO the Theoben Mag is also better than the Daystate's one because you can see your shot count with the 12 and 17 shot mags! The Theoben Rapid was voted "Airgun of the Millenium"-a quality rifle you won't regret buying!!
tweedledee
yep, tried and tested.forget about the electric technology in day state.not needed.i broke my rapid down last week and fitted a upgraded regulator.if i can do it anyone could.great work horse gun with fantastic accuracy
bullet boy
If I was to have one complaint about the Rapid it would be that they don't have a power gauge fitted,-unless the newer ones have!? Some will say that Daystates Customer Service is better and I'd have to agree but I'd still have the Rapid over any Daystate!
tweedledee
if you know your gun you should never need a power gauge.
bullet boy
if you know your gun you should never need a power gauge. Your right in one respect mate but it does help to have one on board.
the enigma
Another vote for the Rapid. It mightn't look as good as the Daystate, but it does shoot well. Also excellent shot count.
kitchy
rapieeedooo all the way got one in .22 unreal accuracy nice heavy built to last gun no other gun on the marker feels as sturdy to me its the best piece of kit ive ever bought and there is a airgauge mod on the theoben website easy to fit to
theshootist
I think rapids are great, i have a .22 and am building a. 25. They are simple reliable PCPs but the huntsman classic will handle better, is nicer to look at and like the rapid has no electronics. chrisjpainter
Right time someone stood up for the looks of the rapid! I think it looks great! It smacks of a practicality, no frills userness! None of this fancy stock mullarky. Almost wish i'd bought one. but i didn't. If i ever go up to FAC, the Rapid will be the one for me! white flash
Thankyou to all members for input.Just done a deal for Daystate Huntsman Classic .177.Scopes MTC viper,Harris bipod. Why i went daystate route was the company being better to deal with if any thing went wrong.Still like the rapid as a gun but not the company as i have herd bad press.THANKYOU AGAIN MEMBERS (Safe Shooting)cheers. deputy dog
I had a Rapid 12 and though very accurate, i found fiddling around with the buddy bottle while charging and reattaching it. Kept blowing the seals on the bloody thing. Iv been looking at getting a FAC air rifle myself and the Huntsman is one iv been looking at for future purchase. But as most have said, shot count ways a major part. Rapids have high shot count in sub 12 lbs as in FAC. Huntsman has about 27 shots at 30ft lbs unless you go for the Air Ranger, wolf models which will be well over a grand. Perhaps having a look at the HW 100 could put a different twist on things, supposedly very accurate, quick fill tank and well under a grand.
